When We feel like Our prayers aren't being answered maybe We're praying for things outside God's will & like the gracious Father that He is He stepped in to protect his child from AnyThing/One imposing harm; as sometimes We're a threat to Ourself. Our Faith let's Us Know God Loves Us but Our Heart & Flesh can't Feel it, so We're instructed "lean Not towards Our own understanding". That Job, that House, that Lover was Not for You; Let it Go obviously God has something better.  Your Faith is demonstrated when it looks  like Your world is falling apart to Everyone except You.
