Distance makes the Heart Grow Fonder... Individuals handle trauma differently. A person's troubled past may subconsciously drive them to hurt those who try to help them as hurt people tend to Hurt People. In protecting Yourself & demonstrating "How to Love" You may need to step back & Love them from a distance. Loving a heartless spirit can be a waste of time & effort; like trying to teach someone how to swim without them knowing their drowning or even in water for that matter. When someone hurts You, try to step outside Your flesh, step into Your Spirit & forgive them. Betrayal isn't always a personal attack so much as it is a personality flaw & flaws like having a 'Sin Nature' is something that We all have. Life's too short to do Anything but Love, Laugh & Live; so enjoy Loving Life & start with learning to Love Yourself. You can teach someone how to treat You by them witnessing how You treat Yourself.
